A Legacy Written in Ash

The history of Finca Vega Costa is deeply intertwined with the geological evolution of Lanzarote. Located in the shadow of the Timanfaya peaks, our land was once covered in meters of volcanic ash during the eruptions of the 18th century. What seemed like a cataclysm became the foundation for a unique agricultural miracle.

The "Geria" technique, unique to our island, allows us to cultivate crops where others see only desolation. The volcanic stones (picón) act as a thermal insulator and a sponge for the Atlantic humidity, providing life to our vineyards and plantations without the need for intensive irrigation.

Farm Life

The Visionary Approach

Our founder, inspired by the architectural philosophy of César Manrique, sought to create a space where the hand of man and the raw beauty of nature exist in perfect harmony. Every stone moved at Vega Costa was positioned with respect for the existing topography.

Today, the farm is more than a place of production; it is a center for ecological research and culinary innovation, where we host guests from around the world to share the secrets of the volcanic land.
